Fun Family Snacks
With the warmer weather comes days out, picnics, and fun in the garden - for all the family. This means meal times become more fluid, and as we lose the standard family timetable of breakfast, lunch and dinner - we start to snack more.
So, this week, we've come up with some deliciously healthy, fun, family snacks, for you and your children to enjoy. Four family snacks that are easy to make and perfect for all to enjoy.
Eggs
Not only do they make the perfect high protein snack, they also make a delicious family meal. Eggs are surprisingly portable, and a great addition to a picnic, as they are packed with protein, vitamins and minerals.
Try making an omelette filled with summer vegetables like courgettes and tomatoes - cut into quarters and wrap in foil - perfect served warm at a family picnic. And hard-boiled eggs are the easiest snack on the go!

Salad Pot
Short on time? Then this is the answer. A simple snack and an easy way to increase your daily intake of vegetables.
To prepare simply wash and chop up some raw vegetables such as carrots, cucumber, bell peppers, radishes and tomatoes into bite-size pieces. Pop into a tupperware, and you've nailed healthy snacking for all the family in a matter of minutes!
Fruit Salad
With a variety of fruits in season, whip up a fresh fruit salad for a snack.
Right now look out for fresh apricots, blackberries, honeydew melon, peaches, plums, raspberries, strawberries and watermelon. So refreshing and beats a fizzy drink any day!

Mixed Nuts & Seeds
Forget crisps and dips, and instead go for nuts and seeds!
Not only are they filling but they contain protein and healthy fats. Avoid any salted nuts and watch the portion size. You can use any combination to suit your own taste buds. Easy to prepare the night before or take your Jane Plan Mixed Nuts n Seeds!!

News from Jane Plan
It's been hot, hot, hot this week, so we've been munching on salads, (my personal favourite is the Jane Plan Couscous salad with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and a squeeze of lime), gently moving at Georgie's yoga classes and drinking lots of water. This weekend you may spot us in the National Press - we're in The Times, The Telegraph and The Guardian, and next week I'll be doing lots of live TV. We always encourage people to phone in during the shows, so if you have any questions you've always wanted to ask me - this is the perfect opportunity. Have a wonderful week everyone.
Stay happy, stay healthy and stay in touch
