
Jane Planner Of The Month
We are very excited to share our second Jane Planner of the month for January - Mike Vickery. Mike has not only lost weight but he no longer has high blood pressure!
Meet Mike
When I joined Jane Plan I weighed 22 stone 5lbs. So far I have lost 5 stone - and I am on target to lose 2 more!
"I've been overweight since 1999. When I gave up smoking the weight just crept on! I'd been trying to lose weight for years but nothing ever worked, until I found Jane Plan in June. So far I have lost 5 stone but I am hoping to lose a further 2 stone. My initial goal was to get to under 18 stone, but now I am 17 stone 5, so I have a new goal - I want to get to 16 stone by the end of January - and I'm on target! To be honest, I didn't think this was achievable, but Jane Plan has helped and supported me along the way - it has made the world of difference. As a Driving Instructor I sit down a lot, and I work unpredictable hours. All of this contributed to my weight gain and I have to admit I used to eat a lot of junk food too.
The Jane Plan food is delicious and has helped me to control my portion sizes. I take days off occasionally and have a very flexible approach. But I feel I am in complete control of my weight now - I just know how much to eat! Jane Plan has taught me about portion sizes and it has also encouraged me to eat lots of fruit and vegetables. The meals are easy to prepare and really convenient for me - and I have lots of favourites. I love the Massaman Pork Curry and the Saag Aloo!
I no longer have high blood pressure, nor aching joints, I am sleeping and breathing better and I feel so much more energetic. I really enjoy exercise now and bought myself an exercise bike this year. I feel normal again!"
